Your Go SIM card allows you to choose between 3 calling plans, the default Go rate plan is Quattro. You may switch to the Original rate plan at no charge by dialing *88. Call costs are per minute unless otherwise stated.

Activating your service

Your Czech Republic mobilel phone number can be found on both the outside packaging and in the welcome letter and begins +420.

To activate your service:

  1. Travel to Czech Republic .
  2. Be sure that the battery is adequately charged.
  3. Insert the SIM card into your GSM phone*.
  4. Turn your phone on.
  5. Enter the PIN code^
  6. Start calling.

* You will need to snap out the thumbnail sized SIM card along the perforated edge of its holder and then insert the SIM card into your international mobile phone with the gold contacts of the SIM card facing the metal contacts of your mobile phone.

^Your phone will prompt you for a PIN code which can be found under a black tab of the welcome letter where your SIM card is also attached. Follow your cell phone manual instructions to correctly use the PUK to unblock your phone should you enter the PIN code incorrectly 3 times in a row. A Bank PIN and PUK in a white envelope is also included and may be disregarded.

Making and receiving calls

How to make a call

To make an international call from your Czech Republic mobile phone dial 00 (or +), followed by the country code (1 for the US), area code and phone number.

How family and friends call you

Family and friends need to dial the international prefix, followed by the country code 42 and your mobile phone number, omitting the first 0 (zero).
For example, when calling from the United States, callers need to dial 011 42 and then your mobile phone number.

Recharging your account

To add credit to your Czech Republic SIM card, you will need to purchase recharge vouchers, also called Go Recharge vouchers. You will find these vouchers at most convenience stores, tabac shops and petrol stations in Czech Republic. They are available in 4 denominations: 300, 500, 1000, and 5000 CZK

To recharge your account:

  1. Purchase a recharge voucher.
  2. Scratch off the grey protective layer to reveal your 14 digit voucher code.
  3. Dial *88 from your own mobile phone
  4. Select Option 1
  5. When prompted enter the 14 digit code and press # to confirm
  6. Confirm again with the # key

Alternatively you can type *102*14 digit voucher code# from your Czech mobile phone to receive your call credit.

Do not purchase another Czech Republic SIM card when your credit is depleted! You only need a recharge voucher!

Customer service for your Czech Republic SIM card is available 24/7 by dialing 1188 from your mobile phone.

Service life

Each recharge extends the validity of the SIM card for 18 months from the date of the recharge, plus one month in which you may only receive calls.

If you do not recharge your SIM card within that period, the SIM card and phone number will be recycled and any remaining credit will be forfeit. To get connected again you will be required to purchase another SIM card.
